The Goddess Astarte is a Goddess of love. This is true. She very much is a goddess of love... She is, however, also the Goddess of war. The dichotomy speaks so beautifully to the necessary balance that, together, makes one other-worldly. The energy of ethereal loves must necessarily bring with it the energy of fight. It's the sacred balance that exists everywhere and in every thing. It's beautiful, to me. The Goddess of love and of war, of balance and courage and intensity across the spectrum.
